Our display is ''How They had Fun''.


Please visit Glenalvon on one of our Open Days to support the volunteers who work so hard to keep Glenalvon open. 


Monday 5th March. Glenalvon is open 10am - 1pm.


Saturday 10th March.  Glenalvon is open 10am - 1pm.


Saturday 17th March.  Launch of Grist Mills.    At Glenalvon.    'Yarns along the High Street'.    10.30am followed by morning tea. Saturday 24th March.

Glenalvon is open 10am - 1pm.


Saturday 24th March.     Members Meeting.  Time: 1.30 pm. At Glenalvon.   

Speaker: Lloyd Pitcher.   Topic: "Caroline Chisholm".   Afternoon Tea will be provided.


April 2018


Monday 2nd April. Glenalvon is open 10am - 1pm.


Wednesday 4th - Sunday 15th April.  NSW Seniors Festival. 


Saturday 14th April.  Glenalvon is open 10am - 1pm.   

Including Seniors morning tea 10.00 am - 12.30 pm.


Wednesday 18th April - Sunday 20th May. 

Australian Heritage Festival.


Saturday 28th April. Glenalvon is open 10am - 1pm.


Saturday 28th April.     Members Meeting. 

Time: 1.30 pm. At Glenalvon.   

Speaker: To be advised.   Topic: To be advised.   

Afternoon Tea will be provided.



Upcoming Activities at Glenalvon for which we need Volunteer assistance.

These are not public Open Days - Booked tour groups only.

* Tuesday 6th March - 10.30am morning tea and tour.

* Monday 19th March - School tour.

* Monday 26th March - School  tour 50 students arriving at 9.15am. Assistance required.

* Friday 20th April - morning tea and tour group (25).




Volunteer(s) are required to assist in Glenalvon Garden.
Watering, pruning, weeding etc.

Glenalvon is a classic sandstone town house dating from 1830. On open mornings the property is open from 10am to 1pm and activities include tours of the house, heritage gardens, buildings and the Rural exhibition centre.
