Please visit Glenalvon on one of our Open Days to support the volunteers who work so hard to keep Glenalvon open. 


Monday 2nd July. Glenalvon is open 10am - 1pm.  

 

Saturday 14th July.  Glenalvon is open 10am - 1pm.

 

Sunday 15th July  Campbelltown District Family History Society.   

Irish & Scottish Family History Research Course    Campbelltown Library, Meeting Room 1   

Arrive by 10.45am.   Course duration: 11.00am to 3.30 pm.    Cost: $10.00             

 Bring your own lunch.    BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL.

Time: 1.30 pm. At Glenalvon.    Followed by the General Meeting.

Saturday 18th August.  Twenty Eigth Ivor G Thomas Memorial Lecture.       

Featuring the stories of “Families of Another Time”.           

Stories of the Gore, Morgan, Payten, Lysaght and Langdon families.       

at St John’s Church Hall, Cordeaux Street Campbelltown.        1:30pm       

Tickets $10 each

On this day we will also be launching Andrew Allen’s book:           

“Not Just Bricks and Mortar – remembering Campbelltown’s demolished buildings.”

Glenalvon is a classic sandstone town house dating from 1830. On open mornings the property is open from 10am to 1pm and activities include tours of the house, heritage gardens, buildings and the Rural exhibition centre.
