Celebrating 50 years: The Campbelltown-Camden District Band 1946-1996
BRUNERO, DONNA; PB 28p 210×147 Illus B&W; Campbelltown and Airds Historical Society, 1996. This book was dedicated to Harold Pollard OAM and was sponsored by Minto Hardware. Ex-army bandsman Frank Curnow recalls that “our first band practice was in Reg Hayes’ Cordial Factory sitting on empty cool drink crates”. The first public performance was at Campbelltown Show in 1948. Early members include Ken Begg, Frank Curnow, Arthur Doust, Bob Eves, David Firth, Dennis Firth, Reg Hayes, Albert Huthnance, Fred Lower, Stan Newham, Bill Patterson, Bert and Harold Pollard, John Rapley, Barry Roberts, Miles Roser, Cecil Smart and Arthur Whitby.
